An Appreciation Blog For Tate McRae After She Dropped A White Hot New Music Video For "Sports Car"

We're undergoing a transformation in pop music right now. They say everything moves in cycles- fashion, music, politics, the economy, and the older I get, the more I realize it's true. Especially when it comes to music. 

2000s pop music vibes are back. We are seeing Chappell Roan turn into this generations Lady Gaga/Madonna, Dua Lipa turn fill the roll of Mariah Carey/Janet Jackson, while Taylor Swift is in a league all her own. 

Stepping into the shoes of our generations biggest sex-symbol pop-icon, (Britney Spears), is this firecracker from Canada, Tate McRae. And she is fucking crushing the role. Making it look too easy. 

Just a couple months ago she dropped this work of art for "it's ok I'm ok"

That eclipsed her other, more tame videos for "Exes"

and "Greedy"

Suffice to say, she has come a long way. And stepped up her game big time video wise as evidenced by this "Sports Car" performance.

p.s. - I came out of the bathroom backstage at Lollapalooza this summer and she was standing right there getting interviewed before going on stage. Security had the one way in and out blocked off by her so I had to stand there praying I didn't get slapped with a restraing order.
