PFL Fighter Gets His Forearm Snapped In Half By A Front Kick

I've been watching mixed martial arts since UFC 81 in 2008 (Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar 1) and covering it for Barstool since 2016, but I gotta tell ya - I'll never get used to seeing bones snap like that. It always sends a shiver down my spine, whether I'm watching an armbar overextend, a leg kick get checked (shoutout Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman, and Conor McGregor), or now, a front kick splitting a forearm in half like a Taekwondo breaking board. It's a new one....but just a brutal as the rest!

Honestly though, in real time, it didn't even look that bad. It initially kinda looked like a routine front kick that didn't land until Nada realized what happened and alerted the ref. Look at this....

It isn't until you watch the slo-mo replay that you can see just how much force that kick had behind it. And it's a good reminder that pretty much all strikes at this level carry (at least) that level of power, further accentuating just how tough these warriors are and how different they are from you or I. For example, I banged my elbow on the corner of a dresser the other day and fell down into the fetal position like Peter Griffin. Meanwhile, Mostafa Rashed Nada just had someone front kick his forearm IN HALF and he just looked bummed he lost the fight. Pretty fucking crazy.

This card's main event should be very interesting, as Khabib's cousin Usman Nurmagomedov takes on Irish prospect Paul Hughes. It's being promoted as 'Dagestan vs Ireland 2' in reference to the Khabib/McGregor fight, and there's definitely still a lot of bad blood between those countries....

We interviewed Paul Hughes ahead of the fight, so check that out below if you're interested….
