The Eagles Just Embarrassed The Commanders So Hard With The "Tush Push" That The Refs Were About To Just Award Philly A Free Touchdown

This is what we call playing with your food. This is what happens when a vastly superior team decides to simply just tool with a lesser opponent.

After a Saquon Barkley run took the Eagles down to about the 2-yard line, the Eagles lined up for a Brotherly Shove at 1st and goal. Honestly speaking, I thought it was a bit much to go for it from 2-3 yards. I figured the Eagles would just want to hand the ball off to Saquon again for another automatic 6 on the board. But what transpired after that was one of the greatest sequences we've ever witnessed.

The Commanders picked up a penalty for being in the neutral zone on the first attempt. Ball moves halfway to the goal line from there, 1st and goal again. This time, that dirty piece of shit Frankie Luvu decides to jump the snap early and launches himself at Jalen Hurts. Scumbag move, but another flag to make it 1st and goal yet again with the ball moving half the distance to the goal line. Next step, Frankie Luvu does the same shit again. Dumb sack of shit, half the distance to the goal line, 1st and goal again.

After that, the Commanders defense jumped YET AGAIN. 4 straight plays, 4 straight penalties. And at some point, the refs have to decide that they've seen enough. So they gave Washington their final warning.

There's not a single football fan on planet Earth who wanted to see the Eagles snap the ball again after this. Could you imagine? NFC Championship Game and the Eagles put 6 up on the board without even having to run a play? Just keep drawing Washington offsides and get the refs to finally say enough is enough.

It would have been glorious. But eventually the Eagles had enough mercy to stop toying with the Commanders, and just bullied their way in from the 3 inch line.

That's the type of sequence that makes you realize that Washington was never a legitimate contender. That is big brother messing with little brother. 3rd rushing touchdown on the day for Jalen Hurts. The Eagles are moving onto the Super Bowl, and this was the sequence that really hammered it home that they are head and shoulders above the rest of the NFC.

Goddamn that was just a beautiful display of meat and potatoes football.
