Your Philadelphia Eagles Are Going Back To The Super Bowl After Beating The Brakes Off Of Washington In The NFC Championship Game
There aren't enough words in the English language to say about this team right now. Ever since the bye week, this has been hands down the greatest Philadelphia Eagles team we've ever witnessed in our lifetime. The offense bullies the shit out of you by running it down your damn throat every single possession. The defense bullies the shit out of you by forcing turnover after turnover after turnover. I mean quite literally the only thing this Eagles team isn't elite at is kicking field goals.
You think you've finally cracked the code on how to stop Saquon Barkley? Think again.
You think you're the team that is finally going to find a way to hit Jalen Hurts like a running back? Think again.
You want to force Jalen Hurts to stay in the pocket and move the ball down field through the air? Think again.
You think you're going to be the team that finally finds a way to hold onto the ball when the #1 defense in football starts coming after you? Think again.
This is just what the Philadelphia Eagles do. They beat the shit out of you in every facet of the game. That's a credit to this roster, put together by Howie Roseman. That's a credit to this coaching staff, which Nick Sirianni has managed to get the absolute most out of everybody with. That's a credit to guys like Saquon Barkley being the greatest football player on the planet. Jalen Carter being the biggest menace on the field every time he straps up that helmet. AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith continuing to stay engaged even when the running game is getting all the love. The offensive line. The quarterback making all the right decisions, and making all the big plays when he needs to. And most importantly, Jeffrey Lurie for making it all possible.
The Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2017. The window unfortunately closed QUICKLY for them to run it back, and the whole thing fell apart in 2020. And now they're on their 2nd Super Bowl appearance in the last 3 seasons in the Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni era. I'm not saying the Eagles are a dynasty. But the Patriots never had to deal with that type of turnover. The Chiefs haven't had to deal with that type of turnover. The Eagles finding a way to continue this run even with a completely different team is absurd. Now there's only one thing left do do, and that's win the whole damn thing.
