Alec Baldwin Reaches New Low By Using Rust Tragedy To Promote His Reality Show
SOURCE - Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria touch on the toll of the Rust tragedy in the first look at their reality show, The Baldwins.
TLC released a trailer for the series on Monday, and in it, Hilaria references the fatal 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchinson set of the western. "A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy," says the entrepreneur and yoga instructor. "This is never something to forget and we're trying to parent through it."
The footage then cuts to vignettes of a somber Alec. "Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have you and these kids," the actor tells his wife.
Let me see if I have this right. We're making Alec Baldwin the victim now? Who thought this would be a good idea? Remember the old days when we'd feel bad for the people who were most affected by a tragedy?
I know Hollywood is filled with some massive egos and it's a challenge to look past themselves. But, this might be a new low. Imagine being the widower of Halyna Hutchinson and seeing how sad the Baldwins are? You're trying to raise the child that no longer has a mother and this ad pops up on the television?

There is no part of this reality show "The Baldwins" that seems like a good idea. You have Hilaria Baldwin who pretends she can't speak English despite growing up in Massachusetts.
Then you have Alec, who is 25 years older than her and seemingly grumpy all of the time. They also have SEVEN kids. Actually, the more I write about this, the more it does sound like an interesting reality show. Well, it would have been before he was charged with involuntary manslaughter for a death that happened on a movie set the he was a producer on.
This was by all accounts, a terrible accident. There were certainly safeguards that weren't taken. The armorer Sarah Gutirrez-Reed served 18 months for involuntary manslaughter. Lives were ended or ruined because of what happened on the set that day.
I'm not saying Baldwin should never work again. He was never found guilty in court and should be able to work if he chooses. But go do a sitcom on Peacock or something. Why does it have to be a reality show where this poor woman's death is used for content?
Do we need a reality show for everything? Does everything need to be shown? It speaks to what celebrity is in 2025 where a show like this would be aired. Alec Baldwin's net worth is rumored to be $70 million dollars. Even if it's half that, does he really need to exploit someone's death for a fucking TLC show?
SOURCE - The legal saga is sure to be reflected on The Baldwins, which promises an "intimate, behind-the-scenes" look into the lives of Alec and his expansive family. "Seven children, six animals, two parents," says Hilaria in the trailer. "Wild family." But with the hardships and chaos come moments of joy in a household that is "never short on activity," per TLC.
I take it all back. They should be able to exploit whoever and whatever they want. After all, they are a wild family that never short on activity!
