Makes Sense: Oakland's Greg Kampe Is Suspended For Yelling At A Ref, The Same Ref Gets Fired From The Conference For 'A Significant Officiating Error'

This is the ultimate lose the battle, won the war. Sure, Oakland lost the game because of a shit call. If you want to call a foul, it's on the floor on number 7, not shooting on number 10. So, good on the Horizon League keeping refs accountable. Gotta be more to the story to say this was an egregious mistake and leading to firing though. We watch college basketball, there are shit calls that ruin games on a daily basis. 

Also since when can we suspend coaches for yelling at refs? There wouldn't be a single college basketball game with coaches if this reaction led to suspensions. Consider this blog my defense for Greg Kampe. I think the whole #Free fill in the person's name is overplayed, but let Greg coach. It's what he does. I have to thank him for Mark Pope, so consider this my payback to him. I know they are playing Green Bay and Green Bay needs help, don't punish Greg Kampe.

I don't know how you get suspended for being right. That's really what it comes down to here. Greg Kampe was correct and is getting punished.
