Myles Garrett Has Requested A Trade From The Cleveland Browns

Well, fuck.

Just days after Andrew Berry said we're NOT trading Myles Garrett. Not even for two first round picks. In fact, not only are we not trading him, we're working on signing an extension with him. Just days later....Myles releases this statement that he wants out of Cleveland. Side note: what the fuck kind of letter is this? This is the reverse "I'm coming home" letter from LeBron James. Myles Garrett out here releasing published written works saying get me the fuck outta here.

Gut reaction:

My stance is two fold:

- I can't blame him. He's held up his end of the bargain. He wants to win. I'd want to win too.

- Is this rock bottom for the Browns franchise? People will say that's dumb because we went 1-15 and followed it up with 0-16, but my argument would be that back then, we knew we were terrible. In fact, we were probably trying to lose from time to time. But now? We are ALL IN. We showed that when traded away 3 straight first round picks for Deshaun Watson. Tossed Baker Mayfield aside because if we could just improve our QB1, and pair him with stars in their prime like Myles, Chubb, Ward, etc -- we'd completely turn the franchise around! Super Bowl Browns!

Nope. That Deshaun Watson trade cost us 3 first round picks, Baker Mayfield, and now Myles Garrett. This is rock bottom in Cleveland.

**What is the haul like for a 4x All Pro, 14+ sacks in 4 straight seasons, reigning DPOY, with 2 years left on his deal? I'd say 2 first round picks would be the cost to even get a phone call started. Then probably some equity in the franchise too? Forget Luka and AD. THIS is the best player traded in our lifetime.
