Post Malone And Travis Barker Are Releasing an Album of Nirvana Covers on Vinyl for Record Store Day In April

People - Post Malone is celebrating Record Store Day by paying tribute to Nirvana.

The "Circles" singer, 29, who's also the Record Store Day ambassador for 2025, is releasing the Nirvana tribute album packed with the songs he performed at his Salt Lake City home amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

The 14-track record, coming in April, will feature Travis Barker on drums, bassist Brian Lee, and guitarist Nick Mac. Included on the track list are covers of Nirvana's "Come as You Are," "Lounge Act," "On a Plane" and "Heart-Shaped Box," among others.

Profits from the tribute album, aptly titled Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana will go towards MusiCares’ Addiction Recovery/Mental Health division.

"Record Store Day" (April 12th) started out as a cute little gimmick back in 2007 in an effort to "save record stores" from going out of business, much like bookstores have this generation.

I don't think anybody could have seen it evolving into what it has the last couple years.

We have artists and bands dropping commemorative and special releases left and right (mostly on vinyl only) and this kind of thing has to be going right up spotify and apple's asses sideways.

I sneaky love it.

This Post x Travis x Nirvana announcement is one of two I'm looking forward to the most so far for what's been announced.

Sidebar - I dont think people were paying attention over the weekend, but Wu-Tang Clan announced they're dropping a new album on Record Store Day. Check out the blog here -
