Jordon Hudson is Seen With Belichick Wearing a Big Old Rock on the Finger Where an Engagement Ring Typically Goes
There are two things that every man, woman and child knows about Bill Belichick. When talks about "commitment," it's to your football program (see above). And when the subject is rings, it's these kind:
Which what makes this speculation a bit beyond my area of expertise:
Source - It certainly appears that the legendary football coach, 72, and his much younger lady love Jordon Hudson are engaged after she was seen flaunting a stunning sparkler on her left ring finger at a New Orleans charity event on Wednesday, exclusive DailyMail.com photographs show. …
Jordon then upped the stakes by wearing what looked to be a simple silver band with a huge rock on her ring finger at the charity event she set up for those affected by the New Years Day terror attack on Bourbon Street.
Belichick and Jordon put on a loved-up show for those at the dinner, with the brunette chatting animatedly to the coach and touching his arm at Desi's Vegas Steakhouse.
In a possible nod to her upcoming nuptials, Jordon donned a strapless bridal-white Bardot-style dress which she paired with black heels and a faux fur cover up for a glamorous look.
She coyly hid her left hand when posing for pictures outside the venue but showed off the giant sparkler once inside.
Well this has the potential to explain a lot:
To be perfectly honest, I might be one of the World's Foremost Authorities on Belichickism [tm], but when it comes to the etiquette of high society, I'm way out of my depth. I got engaged in a hotel in Dover, NH after doing stand up at a restaurant owned and operated by Bruins' legend Gary Doak. But only after Mike Timlin got Otis Nixon to end the World Series on a bunt attempt in the 11th inning and the Blue Jays beat the Braves. Because priorities.
What I don't know about going to elegant fundraisers in New Orleans could fill Bill Belichick's library of football books. And I know even less about whether you can wear a huge expensive gemstone on the third finger of your left hand without having it mean you're engaged.
All I know is that the last time these sorts of rumors were going around it was like eight or nine years ago, when Belichick himself was spotted wearing a black band on that same finger. And it turned out to be one of those smart rings that monitors your health.
But what I can say is that if he was, hypothetically, going to decide to jump the broom, this would be the way he'd go about it. There'd no public announcement. He wouldn't share it with the press any more than he was willing to talk about injuries or Spygate. He'd tell Jordon to keep everything in house and ignore the noise. He wouldn't say anything more about that ring than he said about Tom Brady skipping OTAs in his last couple of years. He'd basically treat it like he did Tim Tebow when 50 TV news trucks showed up for the first day of camp. Because none of them remained by Day 2. His engagement - if it's even a real thing - would be strictly on a Need to Know basis. A "We're Onto Chapel Hill" scenario if ever there was one.
If it is true, it means that the two most important men in my world, Drake Maye and now the GOAT, are both in marriage's On Deck circle. And I'll make the same pledge to Bill as I did to Drake. If you're looking for someone to do the nuptials, I volunteer by services:
Since the time I posted this, I've done three more. And can say with no shortage of pride that I'm officially 8-for-8, with each of them going strong.
If this is not the case, well then nice choice of jewelry, Miss Hudson. You're still a lucky, lucky woman.
