But seriously. Every time Matvei Michkov steps on the ice against Alexander Ovechkin, his game elevates to absolute sicko mode. Mike has been in a bit of a slump lately. Obviously his first full season in North America was going to be filled with some ups and downs. It's a longer schedule, more travel, he was bound to hit a wall here at some point. But once he has a chance to show off in front of the Great 8, he doesn't miss an opportunity.
Also nice of Ivan Fedotov to be a part of history tonight by becoming the 180th goalie that Ovechkin has scored on in his career. Huge night for all the Russians out there.
