You Have To Respect The Lack Of Fucks Given From Nick Madrigal Showing Up To Mets Spring Training With a Giant Cubs Bag

First impressions are so important. First time at a new company, meeting your girlfriend's parents, or something like encountering one of your favorite athletes. Those kind of interactions make my insides simmer with how they stay with you for the rest of your life. First time I met A-Rod I hit him with a "tough game for the Canes" after Miami lost in football the previous weekend. Just a horrific choice of words. Realistically it meant nothing, but I still think about it.

As a guy who overthinks every moment in life, the last thing I'd do if I were Nick Madrigal would be show up to the Mets Spring Training facility with a colorful, blatant Cubs baseball bag. For a quick second I saw the clip with the name Nick Madrigal in the caption and had to second guess whether he signed with the Mets earlier this month. This dude signed on February 1st! He had over a week to get literally any bag, but decided to go with the big Cubs one from his former team. I genuinely respect how little he cared about the moment. Zero fucks given. And again, it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure today he'll get more Mets gear to rock and use than he can possibly think of. If that was me I'd be absolutely scrambling all over town to get a basic Nike bag to throw my shit in before I arrived to camp. I'd show up late to camp if it meant getting a different bag. Moral of the story, I should really stop caring about the little things.

Baseball is back and that's the most important thing. It's best shape of your life season. I'm sure we're a few days away from hearing DJ LeMahieu looks incredible and motivated.
