Michael Strahan Waving An Eagles Flag And Saying "Fly Eagles Fly" Right Before They Won The Super Bowl Is The Latest Example Of Rock Bottom For The New York Giants

I missed this last night because I refuse to watch any shitty NFL pregame shows on TV let alone ones that are half a day long before the BIG GAME (Are we allowed to say Super Bowl™ again?). Seriously though, how the fuck did we get to this place? I mean I know it all started when Tom Coughlin stoned John Mara after he """resigned"""" from being head coach of the New York Giants, which led to Ben McAdoo being hired, Eli being benched, Eli being dragged through a couple of years he should've been collecting retirement behind a bad offensive line, and all the hell that led to last night's Eagles Super Bowl victory with Saquon as their running back fresh off an Offensive Player of the Year award.

But still, the one thing the Giants could do right over this last decade-plus of misery was keep the old players happy. Granted, that was likely so they could bring them back for yet another halftime ceremony honoring an old team or player since none of the teams taking these field these days are worth watching live or on TV.

Nonetheless, you never had a player of Michael Strahan's level waving a fucking EAGLES flag while singing their song on some traitorous shit like that big bitch The Empire State Building. I don't care how Hollywood Strahan is or how likable Saquon is. That kind of shit would've never happened while the Giants had a semblance of the kind of mystique the bozos in the building think they have because they used to be a well-run team back when Wellington was alive. Michael Strahan used to be the kind of guy that used to pick against the Eagles from his fancy Fox studio because he hated them and would take shot about dogwalking Jon Runyan during their playing days whenever he got the chance. Now he's apparently the biggest Eagles fan this side of Max, Rone, and Gillie

This is exactly what I meant when I blogged about the Giants becoming a Loser Franchise today.

The Giants have truly lost everything they had that made them one of the model franchises of the NFL. They've lost the games. They've lost the fans. And now they've lost the ex-players, with that clip is as damning as anything I've seen since everything fell apart at this very moment.

This has truly been the worst year of my life as a Giants fan to the point I can't imagine it getting worse. However, I can't possibly figure out how it will get better without a MAJOR change in the way ownership handles things.
