'Just Sad' - Hubert Davis Summed Up The State Of UNC Basketball Perfectly, A Bad Team And Damn Near Irrelevant This Season

I know we like to make fun of Indiana because they are always doing something stupid. But, we gotta talk about UNC. This is a program that somehow made the title game, blew a massive lead, just a few years ago. Now? Now UNC fans are begging for Hubert Davis to get fired. This isn't a 'oh those are just fans screaming' it's basically every person who watches the sport knowing this ain't working. 

I know they were a 1-seed a year ago but they couldn't get past the Sweet 16. They are going to miss the Tournament again this year. That's the second time in 4 years that they'll miss it. It's the second time they had high expectations and failed. Even the run to the title game was fluky, yeah, I know, that's the NCAA Tournament. They were an 8 seed. It's not like they were this good team who dominated all year. You even look at what just happened last night: 

At some point you gotta realize you need to move on. That shit isn't working. Schools do it all the time and it's about keeping everything where they belong. At this point the 1-seed seems like an outlier for UNC. You can't just rely on runs in the NCAA Tournament after barely sneaking in. 

This is for everyone just tuning in to college basketball. You need to know UNC sucks. They are 7-6 in an awful ACC. They are 14-11 overall. They don't have a big. They can't rebound, they can't shoot and they are an average defensive team at best. They somehow beat UCLA and that's basically all they have. They can't compete with any good team and are a completely irrelevant team this year. Those are just facts.
