'It's Perfect' - Alan Ritchson (Thad Castle) Confirms We're Getting A Season 4 Of Blue Mountain State, Calls It The Best Season They've Had
[Source] - According to sources, development has been fast-tracked and is now in its final stages, with a greenlight decision expected within a month or two. Signs have been promising, and Ritchson, star and executive producer of the followup, has given the new installment his seal of approval, calling it “perfect.”
“We’re actually setting it up with Amazon,” he said during a press conference at the Daytona 500 Sunday. “We are going to make a fourth season happen; I’m trying to work it into my schedule. Honestly, I think it’s going to be the best season of BMS we’ve ever had. It is so damn funny, and it’s perfect, the way we resurrect the characters and bring them into the way that things are now.”
Hell yes. I don't care how old I am, where I am in life, whatever. You give me a TV show that has some humor, doesn't make me think and can knock out a season with ease, I'm in. Blue Mountain State sure as shit doesn't make me think. It's just dumb comedy. It's one of the ideal shows to toss on about once a year or so, have as background noise, laugh a little bit and move on. Nothing more to it than that.
That said, I do want to know how they bring the players back. You're talking about guys who are in their 40s now. You obviously can't have them as players, although part of me would enjoy the ridiculousness of that. We had the ending where they won in the cornfield. I think I'd lean to have them on the Blue Mountain State coaching staff with Marty Daniels as the GM, heavily involved in the NIL world. Bring everyone back too. Thad, Alex Moran, Radon, Shiloh, Donnie, Harmon, Mary Jo, Sammy, need them all involved. But more importantly, keep the ideal show start:
If That Castle calls it an elite season, he'll speak it into existence.
