Victor Wembanyama's Season Comes To An Abrupt End After It's Discovered He Has A Blood Clot In His Right Shoulder

If you are someone who has enjoyed the Year 2 Victor Wembanyama Experience, I'm afraid we have some bad news. Horrific news if we're being honest
Just like with the Luka Trade Shams Bomb, I had to re-read that tweet 3 or 4 times, click on the profile and double check, just to make sure this was actually real. Sadly, it is. Obviously I'm not a doctor, but what the hell happened between Wemby's performance in the All Star Game
and now? Based on Shams' reporting, it appears he has a form of a blood clot in his right shoulder
which makes sense as to why he's being shut down for the year. Hopefully, this is an isolated incident and Wemby will be fine moving forward, but there's no denying this is an all time bummer for not only the rest of the season, but potentially for the playoffs as well seeing as how the Spurs are knocking on the Play In door. I don't even care if you're not a Spurs fan, any basketball fan on earth should be bummed about this because there are not too many things more entertaining than watching Wemby do insane shit on a basketball court.
He's one of the guys who you can tell truly cares about the game, plays hard as shit every time he's out there, actually tries at all times, and is a legitimately two way monster. We're talking about a guy who was playing at an MVP candidate level, who was a lock for DPOY and 1st Team All NBA, so it's not like we're talking about any normal ass player here. This is Wemby.
For all the injury concerns that Wemby had before he entered the league, it's basically been a non-factor up until this point. He played 71 games as a rookie and 46 so far this season, so his frame didn't look to be all that much of an issue getting through the grind of the NBA schedule, which is another reason why this news is a bummer. He's been healthy!
Given how competitive Wemby is, you know this has to be tough. You obviously cannot fuck around with your health so shutting him down is really the only option, but my guess is if it were up to him he'd try and play. That's just the type of mentality I feel like he plays with. The Spurs are on the rise, he's having a fantastic season, every second he's on the floor is must watch. It's all just such a bummer no matter who your favorite team is.
