Ex-Georgia, Now Miami Hurricanes QB Carson Beck Had Both Of His Cars Stolen, Career Is On A Dangerous Trajectory
NY Post - Three vehicles belonging to new Miami quarterback Carson Beck and his girlfriend, Hurricanes guard Hanna Cavinder, were stolen in South Florida on Wednesday, according to a new report.
Andy Slater of Fox Sports reported Thursday morning that the 22-year-old Beck — who recently transferred from Georgia to Miami after reversing course on this year’s NFL draft — had both of his cars taken, with police now attempting to locate his Lamborghini and Mercedes.
An SUV belonging to Cavinder, 24, who was first linked to Beck last year, has since been discovered.
I'm a little worried about Carson Beck. He's on the verge of becoming a tragic figure. There was a point in his college career where he potentially could have been a #1 overall draft pick. Or at least a first rounder. His junior season with Georgia was excellent. He threw for 24 TD's, a hair under 4,000 yards, only 6 INT's. Barely missed out on the playoffs after losing their only game in the SEC Championship to Alabama. He decided to come back to Georgia for his senior season to make one more run at a National Championship. Him and Dillion Gabriel were at the top of the list of Heisman favorites. Georgia's team was loaded as always. Carson Beck pre-2024 season was in about as perfect of a situation as an elite college football quarterback could be in.
Be in his senior season, he just kinda stunk. Threw for 500 less yards, doubled his interceptions. He still had his moments, but by the end of the year he went from being one of the reasons Georgia was great, to one of the things that was holding them back. When he got injured in the SEC Championship game, whether it was true or not (it probably wasn't), there were plenty of people who genuinely thought Georgia would be better off in the playoff with their backup quarterback. I'm not saying he was horrible, he played some great games, but for a pre-season Heisman trophy favorite, it was a pretty rough fall from grace.
Then after the season, despite the rough year, Carson Beck declared for the NFL Draft. But clearly he didn't get the feedback he was looking for, because he quickly withdrew his declaration and announced that he would be returning to college for a 6th year and play for the Miami Hurricanes.
The guy still has plenty going for him. He has a great chance to resurrect his draft stock at Miami. He's going to get a chance in the NFL. He's dating one of the hottest female athletes in the game in Miami basketball's Hanna Cavinder. Nobody is saying "woe is him" about Carson Beck.
But he did just have both his cars stolen. That's a tough L to take on the heels of an unfortunate season, and a de-declaration to the NFL Draft. All I'm saying is that Carson Beck is just a couple of bad things happening away from a real unfortunate college career trajectory. If he digresses yet again this year at Miami, suddenly the narrative changes about him. Turns out he was a Georgia Bulldogs merchant the entire time. The beneficiary of a great situation. Suddenly he falls even further in the draft. And what if him and Hanna Cavinder break up? The bad thing about dating a hot public figure is that if the two of you ever break up, the break up is going to be public. And regardless of the reason for the breakup, people will say it was Carson Beck who fumbled the bag. Hanna would then always liable to date another athlete. Maybe a different Miami football player with a 1st or 2nd round projection? And Carson Beck is left there holding his dick with a face like this...

Sorry, that was a cheap shot. I shouldn't throw stones. There's much worse pictures of me out there on the internet. He's a good-ish looking guy. He only sort of resembles Sid from Ice Age. And again, this is all hypothetical. But the Carson Beck fall from grace is sitting there on a silver platter. The wind doesn't have to blow too hard in the wrong direction to push the man into complete irrelevancy. I'm rooting for the guy, but you can't deny he's taken some L's lately. He had the great first year starting at Georgia… the fall off in the second year… forced to play a 6th season at Miami to get his draft stock back…. had all his cars stolen…. we're only a couple of L's away. A couple of L's which I don't think anybody would overly surprised if happened.
But it's all up to Carson Beck. His fate is in his hands. He controls his own destiny. All he has to do is not stink at quarterback this year and everything will be fine. 10 years from now he'll be so successful he won't even remember the color of his college Mercedes. Or what year his starter Lambo was made in. You got this, Carson.
