There Is Way Too Much Buzz Around The Philadelphia Eagles Taking Over The Myles Garrett Sweepstakes

One of the things that makes Howie Roseman such a great executive is his ability to operate in the shadows. Pretty much every great Howie Roseman move completely comes out of nowhere. He's a silent, stealth assassin. It's almost as if other GMs around the league don't even sense they're in danger, but Howie Roseman already has them locked in his target.
So when all these reports start to come out already hinting at what Howie Roseman's big move this offseason is going to be….well it raises a few red flags.
Now granted, the Myles Garrett situation is very unique. You have one of, if not THE, best defensive player in the league requesting a trade. He's still under contract so it's not like Howie Roseman can actually do anything right now besides leak some reports out there saying he's willing to make a deal happen. So maybe Howie Roseman has to change up his usual attack routine just because the situation calls for it. I still don't think he'd necessarily telegraph his moves like this, but it certainly makes this quote start to make more sense.
"I would just ask our fans to just have patience throughout the offseason. The offseason doesn't stop in free agency. The offseason doesn't stop in the draft"
The offseason doesn't stop in free agency. Myles Garrett isn't a free agent. The offseason doesn't stop in the draft. He doesn't expect to be able to get this deal done in time where the Eagles would be trading any picks in this year's draft to make a move for Myles Garrett.
The Browns aren't going to be rushing to make this trade happen for Myles Garrett. Maybe it doesn't happen until training camp. I still think there's a little too much chatter around this deal for it to be true, but nobody deserves more blind trust and loyalty in this city than Howie Roseman right now.
P.S. -- If this trade never ends up materializing, Diana Russini is on the suspect list.
