Matt Rempe Has An Addiction To Obliterating Dudes In The Face With His Elbow

You'd be hard pressed to find anybody in love who isn't addicted to at least something. Unfortunately, many people get addicted to things that are bad for your health like drugs and alcohol. Other people end up getting addicted to things that are good for your health like lifting weights or running. Video games, eating, caffeine, etc. The point I'm trying to make here is that everybody has a vice of some sorts.

For a guy like Matt Rempe, that vice is using his elbow as a weapon of mass destruction in an attempt to shatter an opponent's skull into a million pieces. The man literally gets the shakes if he isn't handing out a case of early onset CTE every time he touches the ice.

Now here's the thing--part of Matt Rempe's problem is that he's just a massive individual. He might legitimately be too big to play hockey. It just so happens that the heads of like 90% of the guys he plays against are directly in line with his elbow. But that's only a part of Matt Rempe's problem, and I'd argue it's a very small root of the issue.

Matt Rempe's biggest issue is that he's a scumbag piece of shit who isn't any good at hockey, and he realizes he'll be out of the lineup if he doesn't go around throwing massive headshots at guys. Matt Rempe is on the ice to create chaos and carnage. Nobody in the Rangers organization would give a fuck if he went out every shift without a stick in his hands. He's just going to lead into every hit with his arm out there anyway. This is his job, so he's not going to stop until he has sent every player in hockey to the quiet room.

At some point you'd think the league would get the idea here. Matt Rempe is going to keep training to make scrambled eggs out of his opponents' brains because that's what keeps him in the lineup. So the only way to take him out of the lineup is if he literally cannot play. The Rangers have 22 games left this season. It would probably be best for everyone if he watched 20 of them from the press box.
