Adam Sandler Is Now In Too Deep With His Signature Look

I think a lot of people dream of one day becoming successful enough that they can dress however they want and not have to give a shit about what anybody else says or thinks. If you're stuck wearing a corporate monkey suit for the majority of your adult life, I'm sure you look at Adam Sandler in both admiration and aspiration. Being able to roll out of bed every morning and throw on your loosest fitting pair of shorts, a baggy Hawaiian shirt, and a loose fitting hoodie would seem like a dream to some.
And I'm sure for a while, it was like living a dream every day for Adam Sandler. There's something to be said about being ready to jump in a pickup basketball game at any moment's notice. He has broken free of the shackles of societal norms. However, I fear he has now found himself imprisoned by his own freedom.
Sure, it's a bit. He's just playing his role here. But part of me thinks that while Adam Sandler probably enjoys wearing nothing but gym shorts and hoodies for 95% of the time, there's still the occasional time or event where he'd like to wear something different. If not for anything other than to just change things up a bit. Humans love having a routine, but every once in a while it's nice to break out of it.
But he's in too deep at this point. Everybody has come to just expect this exact outfit out of him every time he leaves the house. He's the gym shorts and hoodie guy. That's his signature look, and people would be weirded out if they saw him out in public dressed like an ordinary contributing member of society. He started to wear this outfit every day to break out of the idea that he needs to dress the way everyone expects him to dress, only for him to continue dressing like this every day because it's the way everyone expects him to dress now. He's lost the plot. It's like when a method actor becomes to attached to their character and they no longer know where the character ends and reality begins.
All I'm saying is that it wouldn't shock me to find out that when Adam Sandler gets home every day, he throws on a nice pair of properly fitting jeans, maybe a nice henley shirt, and throws on a pair of Allbirds. Nothing crazy. Still a pretty casual look. But something that makes him feel like he could stand out front of a CVS for a few minutes and people wouldn't automatically assume he's a drug addict.
