Say What You Want About Sportsmanship, But This Was A Flawlessly Executed Punch To The Nuts In A High School Basketball Game
It's so important for kids to grow up playing sports. They teach you so many valuable lessons like accountability, work ethic, time management, and teamwork. I can guarantee you right now that if you think about the worst people you know in life, chances are high they didn't play sports growing up.
But sometimes you need to throw all the life lessons out the window. Sometimes sportsmanship can be damned. And that time is when you have the opportunity to deliver a decisive and destructive shot directly to the nuts of your opponent.
Was it the right thing to do? Of course it wasn't. Was it a good thing to do? Well let's just say this move probably won't keep him on Santa's good list. But the timing and precision were impeccable. Waiting until the moment the ball was thrown away to make sure everyone's eyes were diverted from the scene of the crime. Body is compact, quick jab, direct shot. It was executed so well that the kid wasn't even tossed from the game.
You can tell this kid's been in the lab. He's been studying that Draymond Green tape. He isn't just working on his game at practice, but you can tell he's working on it on his own as well. Early mornings before school. Late nights before going to sleep. This kid eats, sleeps, and breathes it. Which, at the end of the day, is really what sports are all about in the first place.
Sidenote: Hopefully everyone else reads the scouting report for the rest of the season. If you're playing against #11 in white, make sure you're wearing a cup.
