Brady Tkachuk Continues To Be The Biggest Lunatic Who Will Fight Anyone In The NHL, This Time Including Tom Wilson

I don't know if it's because he's a younger brother, or what exactly it is, but for some reason I never picture Brady Tkachuk to be in the heavyweight category of fighters in the NHL. He's a big boy, don't get me wrong. But to me it always just feels like he's always fighting up a weight class. Captain of his team, could be a point-per-game guy every year if he wanted to, those guys just don't typically find themselves fighting the biggest dude on the other team every single night.

But Brady Tkachuk don't give a shit. He's out of his mind. He's going to fight Evander Kane with zero hesitation. He's going to fight Brendon Dillon with zero hesitation. And even though he may not be quite as dangerous as he was in his early years, he's going to fight Tom Wilson with zero hesitation.

I do have to give some credit to Tom Wilson here real quick. His game has really rounded out here over the last few years. He picked up a Gordie Howe Hat Trick last night with a goal, an assist and a fight. That was his 27th goal of the season, and 20th assist. That's a new career high in goals and points. So he's a completely different player than those first 5 years of Tom Wilson.

But out of everyone in the NHL who will fight on a regular basis, and put points up on the board?

I don't think there's anyone in hockey doing it better than Brady Tkachuk. Goals, fights, bringing energy to his team, leadership. He's everything you could ever want out of a hockey player. And the city of Ottawa doesn't deserve him in the slightest.

If the Senators miss the playoffs for an 8th year in a row, it's time for Brady to get his ass back to America. 3 years left on his deal with a $8.25M cap hit. The cap is going up big time, so that's practically like a $6M cap hit. Some team has to be willing to make that deal happen to bring Brady home. I'm sure his good buddy Claude Giroux could tell him some great things about Philadelphia.
