The Dream Is Dead: Burnley Gave Up Its First Goal In Over 13 Matches So Now JJ Watt No Longer Has To Unretire And Play For The Bengals
In case you missed it, we had a pinky bet. JJ Watt agreed to unretire and come play for the Bengals if Burnley didn't give up a goal the rest of the season. Apparently the goalie is a diehard Bengals fan, loves misery but great chili and tried his best to get JJ on the shitty Bengals defense. He had a good run going too, you start a hitting double digit streak of clean sheets and we're flirting with a miracle here.
However, yesterday happened. The dream is dead:
Brutal. Gave up a goal to the club in 21st right now. Can't have that happen. If you're going to go out and give up a goal, do it to someone good. Now you have Bengals fans who had their hopes up in misery thinking this was one match they didn't have to worry about. JJ does talk about getting a feast, which makes sense. I assume once football players retire they just get to eat whatever they want and finally relax. However, he's about to create a war
I know I'm on the right side of history with these two standing behind me:
Incredible run by Burnley. They had it rolling, had JJ Watt doing interviews about it and legit talking about the plan if it came true. I said you have to honor this bet. You can't just hide when you're JJ Watt. You gotta come play 1 game for the Bengals if Burnley ran the table without giving up a goal. It's too ridiculous not to honor that bet. But for now, rest easy, JJ. Just go be an owner and enjoy a few pints.
