Dear NCAA Selection Committee: The Indiana Hoosiers Are Officially Back And Ready To Go Dancing
Trey Galloway, you handsome son of a bitch! Turning into prime Steph Curry for one possession. That shot gave me an out of body experience. I couldn't believe he was pulling up from that deep, but the shot went in! Post all the wiggle dicking Tik Tok dances you want. Steal my girl. I will never say another bad thing about you as long as I live. The way that slog of a game was going, I was ready to completely abandon all hope. Someone had to step up, and Leal and Galloway refused to let this team lose at home on senior day with the season on the line. Galloway hit shots. Leal did all the dirty work. One of the ugliest games this season, but the win looks so pretty. Hopefully the selection committee was too busy watching Auburn vs Alabama to notice how bad Indiana looked during this game. Maybe the committee will just watch that Trey highlight and make a decision?
I'm kind of glad Indiana didn't look great, but got the win. Now my expectations won't get out of hand which would ultimately lead to my hopes getting sky high only to crash and burn. Does Indiana deserve to be in the NCAA tournament? The way the Hoosiers have been playing down the stretch, absolutely. Will Indiana do anything with the bid if they get it? If the team that just showed up against Ohio State comes to play, not a chance. But, I'm staying positive. To come out NOT ready to play in a must win game is crazy (story of the Woodson era) but this team had to be exhausted after finishing west coast road trip. Not an excuse, just facts. The talent on this roster is better than a lot of teams in the tourney, so if they go back to playing basketball without any pressure on them, this team can win some games. I won't go on a long winded rant about Woodson coaching in big moments because we are staying positive, but look how he handled the end of the first half against OSU. I can't wait for Woodson to be gone, but I'm going to enjoy what's left of the season.
Intentionally fouling with a foul to give is fine, but doing it with a starter, in this case your best player today (Galloway) who ends up getting into foul trouble and has to sit out a huge stretch of the 2nd half is terrible coaching. It almost completely fucked the team. Goodbye Woody. Those are the coaching mistakes that fuck you in the tourney. BUT, today it didn't. Indiana wins. It's onto the Big Ten Tournament, and hopefully a run in March. Hopefully Galloway saves a couple of Tik Tok moves for the big dance, because the Hoosiers are ready to steal a bid.
