Control The Narrative: John Calipari Thinks Someone On The Committee Got Sick And That's Why He's Not Playing Rick Pitino In Lexington
I'm going to say something nice about John Calipari. You may be surprised, I've never done such a thing before but it's March and I'm currently in a good mood. There is no one and I mean no one better at controlling the narrative like John Calipari, especially this time of the year. He can find anything as a slight and will use any angle to do such a thing. That quote not enough? We have this:
He was a 1 seed in 1996. Or this:
He started 2 freshmen in 2015. He started 5 in 2014, sure, that might be what he meant. But I know John Calipari wants to control the narrative. Now those are just facts, I'm a facts guy. Back to what he said about this year, it's perfect Calipari. We all knew that there was a chance we'd see Arkansas and St. John's in the same pod. It's also a TV show. Of course we were going to get Cal vs Pitino, maybe. There's nothing and I mean nothing Calipari loves more than throwing a little line out about the committee. He's done it every year, he usually does it Selection Sunday show.
I do wish we had this in Lexington. It's a TV show, give us the TV show everyone wanted. Sure, Providence is a decent storyline for Pitino, but it's gotta be in Lexington. If you had Cal vs Pitino to go to the Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena, you'd have all of America invested.
