Onions: Walter Clayton Saved Florida's Season, Buried UConn's Threepeat Chance And Showed Why He's The Best Guard In The Country

Finally. We finally got the March game we deserved, we finally got the March standalone game we were waiting for. It wasn't necessarily pretty and that's fine. UConn couldn't buy a 3 and Florida missed no less than 32 free throws. Well, I shouldn't say that completely. UConn did hit one important three for some of us

But the biggest three from the game standpoint? Walter Clayton

Dude is the best guard in the country. He's for sure the best closing guard in the country. This is the sort of shot that he was begging to take. It felt like whoever hit that last big shot would win. UConn had chances, couldn't get there and then fucked up a couple rebounds in a row. Clayton drills it before it becomes a foul fest, dumb turnovers and all that stuff we're used to at the end of college games.

I know people are going to shit on Hurley because people love to hate him. Not me. He's AWESOME for the sport and showed why he still should be regarded as the best coach in the country. Dude diced Todd Golden up today and had a chance against a team everyone says is the best in the country. Players gotta make their shots and who knows what happen. But the threepeat is dead. Florida's season is saved and it's because of Walter Clayton.

PS: First ever Raft onions call where he said they were on the side. Man brings it no matter the situation.
