Good Times: USMNT Embarrasses Itself At Nations League, Players Immediately Get Called Out By Landon Donovan For Not Giving A Shit

I know we were all locked in on college hoops this past weekend, but we gotta talk about this. The US embarrassed itself again. This time it was Nations League, a competition we usually win and it's business as normal. Except it wasn't. It started with Poch saying this earlier in the week:

Love the confidence but you can't say this and embarrass yourself. There were questionable lineup decisions and yeah, I know Antonee Robinson wasn't there. He's the key to this team. But you're still the US playing in Nations League, an event we've never lost. 1-0 to Panama and 2-1 to Canada? Disgusting. At least some of our legends are noticing it and calling out the bullshit

It's true. This team has talent. I'll argue that all day. How many of them truly give a shit? How many are willing to give us a Brian McBride bloody face in a game? There are a few I trust to do that. Pulisic and McKennie for sure would do something like that. Diego Luna has been a pleasant surprise. But what about everyone else? Where's the accountability to show up and sacrifice for country since we're coming up on the World Cup?

I keep saying it but the 2026 World Cup is as important to this country has any. We should have some expectations for a run to the quarterfinals and if we get lucky the semis, even with tournament expansion. We're hosting the event. But all the good this group has done is quickly declining. The disaster at Copa America and now Nations League is as bad as it gets. You need to figure out spots, who deserves to be in the lineup, backups since it feels like we always have a couple of injuries and really figure out the keeper and centerbacks.

I just want to be decent at soccer. I know we're not going to win World Cups, but losing shit like this is as frustrating as it gets. Need all the former players to start talking shit, maybe that'll help? Who knows but this group has to figure it out fast.
