Bronny James SILENCED The Haters, Dropped Career High 39-Points Leading South Bay Lakers to Win over Santa Cruz Warriors

Not to overreact, but he really looks like young LeBron James out there. He truly does. Not necessarily in skill level. But it's uncanny how Bronny James moves around the court exactly like his dad. The way he gathers himself to shoot, how he draws contact on the way to the basket, the way he dribbles the basketball like he has a stick up his ass. He's a 65 OVR, NBA2k MyPlayer equipped with LeBron's dribble/layup/dunk packages. It's almost like Bronny spent his entire life closely studying his dad's every move. Like he learned the game of basketball directly from LeBron himself. Crazy how that works.

I never know how seriously to take G-League performances. How good exactly is G-League basketball? Talent wise it should be lightyears better than college. The G-League is littered with stars of March Madness-past, and Bronny has no problem scoring in it.

So by the transitive property, Bronny James would be dominating the NCAA Tournament right now had he stayed in college. I don't think it necessarily works like that. But at this time of year, there has to be a part of Bronny that wishes he'd put up a performance like to lead (any college he could have transferred to) to the Sweet Sixteen, as opposed to doing it in front of less than a thousand people vs the Santa Cruz Warriors. If it all works out for him, and Bronny winds up with a legitimate NBA career, then it'll all be worth it. But if he flames out, and the peak of his NBA career is a few photos of him and his dad playing together... is that really worth missing out on 3 solid years of high-level college hoops? Where you're legitimately contributing to a team that fans care deeply about? Idk. But Bronny does seem to be overachieving for a late 2nd round draft pick. He did put up 17 points against the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks the other night.

Obviously he's being given way more of a leash than any other 55th overall pick in the history of NBA basketball. He had a pretty brutal stretch of NBA games that other players probably wouldn't have been given a chance to play through. But for a player who still can't legally drink, he's not completely incompetent. He seems to be getting better and better with every game. His dad is certianly proud.

Note: I like how on my computer it looks like LeBron chose the "Mexican King" emoji to describe his son.

But I really do hope LeBron's Mexican son ends up making it. Anything to make the NBA a little more interesting. If I know NBA fans the way I think I do, that's the #1 thing they want. More LeBron James related basketball coverage. By the time Bronny breaks into the league for real, his youngest son Bryce Maximus James will be ready to enter the draft. Bryce is already 17. You're crazy if you don't think LeBron has thought about checking into an NBA game at age 45 with both of his boys. Some day the LA Lakers will have a starting 5 of LeBron James, Bronny James, Bryce Maximus James, Luka Doncic, and… whoever else. Maybe Giannis. Maybe Jokic. Just wait. The James family is coming, and there's nothing you can do to stop them.
