NY Post - Several students at a middle school in Mississippi were hospitalized on Tuesday after ingesting edibles that were allegedly handed out by a classmate, authorities said.

Six students at Woolfolk Middle School were taken to a nearby hospital during the school day, Yazoo Police Chief Terry Gann said in a statement obtained by WLBT.

As of Tuesday afternoon, two of the students had been released with the other four expected to be dismissed from the hospital by the end of the day.

Authorities are still probing the incident and the student responsible will likely face charges, Gan said.

“We’re trying to get down to where this kid got them from,” he said.

What a story. First off, let's obviously hope all the kids are okay. This is a very serious matter and should be taken seriously.

The big take away I have here is just how much things have changed since my day. Not to sound like an old man, but I feel like everything has changed. I see the dating game from a far and it seems like the days of dinner and a movie are long gone. It's swipes and snapchat convos and Instagram DM's of people just shooting their shot. No more a friend of a friend setting you up. I can't understand fashion, music, lingo- a lot seems to go over my head. Happens as you get older. Luckily the young kids here do the best they can to fill me in.

This one though I feel like is pretty basic. Maybe it shows I was clearly raised in an upper middle class neighborhood and went to a catholic school but the worst we ever did in middle school was pass out gum. Again … gum not gummies. Catholic schools ban literally everything they want. They banned balls at recess because two kids got in a fight one time over a ball. They banned yo-yo's when they got popular, Pogs because they half ass convinced themselves that "slammers" were dangerous. They ban everything. So of course they banned gum. I can't imagine bringing in gummies. Kids these days man, they might just be moving too fast. What a wild situation.
