A Walk-Off Grand Slam To Complete the Cycle and Beat Your In-State Rival Might Be One of the Coolest Moments in Baseball History

It would be reasonable if hitting for the cycle as an ACC baseball player was not only one of the best moments of someone's career, but their life. Completing the cycle by hitting a walk-off grand slam would probably take a hell of a professional career to top on the baseball field. And then doing that to beat Florida as a Florida State Seminole would likely be slightly above the births of one's children if that person was being completely honest.

That's exactly what FSU's Alex Lodise did on Tuesday night, launching a home run to right field with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning to hit for the cycle and walk off the Gators. It doesn't get much better than that.

In fact, it might literally not get any better than that, because while I'm not sure if anyone has ever done this in college baseball before, it seems no player at least in MLB history has ever completed the cycle with a walk-off grand slam.

And then throw in the fact it was to win one of the biggest rivalry games in college baseball and you have an all-time moment. Good for Alex. It's not quite hitting for the cycle in the College World Series, but it's really cool.
