The NFL Is Snot Playing Around Anymore With Violent Gestures, Makes New Rule To Ban The "Nose Wipe" Celebration

NBC -- The NFL sent the full rules report to its 32 teams this week and included is an addition to the unsportsmanlike conduct rule. In Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1(d) the NFL has made the “nose wipe” celebration illegal.
CeeDee Lamb has used the “nose wipe” as a celebration since he entered the league in 2020. Beginning next season, it will become a 15-yard penalty.
I know a lot of folks are going to have a lot of different things to say about this new rule put in place by the NFL. But for anybody who has small children at home, you know this rule is long overdue.
Snot is gross. Once you have a baby, you have this little mutant living inside your home who has a runny nose 24/7. They wake up with snot everywhere, they eat with snot everywhere, they climb around on the furniture with snot everywhere, and they climb over you with snot everywhere. Sure, you'd like to wipe their nose with a piece of tissue paper whenever you can. But sometimes you don't have tissue paper on hand. Sometimes you have to just resort to grabbing the sleeve of your shirt and now the cuff of every shirt you own is caked in snot.
It's traumatizing. And CeeDee Lamb's celebration is triggering.
Apparently it's also a gang sign. Honestly, credit to gangs. They have truly mastered the art of nonverbal communication. The amount of hand gestures they have turned into signs is impressive. The nonverbal lexicon certainly rivals that of a professional baseball team. I just don't think we gives gangs enough credit for creating and developing their own languages and communicative devices. That's all.
But anyway, back to the matter at hand here. Good on the NFL for finally cracking down on this one. Snot and boogies are nothing to take lightly and joke about. Nobody watches NFL games and wants to be reminded that we are surrounded by snot everywhere we go. We watch these games to escape that reality for 11 hours every Sunday. And I just hope the Dallas Cowboys realize what a disgusting organization they are for fostering that type of behavior throughout these past few years.
