Worst Take of 2025 Candidate: Bomani Jones Says the NCAA Tournament Was Better When You Couldn't Watch Every Game

Alright, that's enough. I know we live in an age where everyone has to have a hot take about everything. It's actually required by federal law now. But this is a bridge too far.

There are things in life that are improved with scarcity, but the NCAA Tournament is not one of them. We wait all season for those glorious first four days and you want to tell me we should have one channel doing cut-ins if a game is close? There are 16 games on each of the first two days; what do we do if there are two great ones going on at the same time? We're all just shit out of luck because you don't want to have the option available to watch every game?

I really just don't understand where this take comes from, because you still have the ability to watch the NCAA Tournament like it's 1987 if you want. Just set alerts on your phone to let you know if there's a game within five points with five minutes left and then you can turn it on and have that be the first you're seeing of a great matchup. Allow me, however, to enjoy every game on the board the way God intended.

Shoutout to my fellow ball knowers who watched at least one minute of every game last weekend. Never take that for granted. There are people out there who wish you ill and want to take away your rights.
