Walter Clayton Once Again Delivered An Iconic March Moment To Save Florida, Get Them Back To A Final Four
I didn't really know where to go with this, which is rare for me. Texas Tech choked that game away. They choked it away at the line, you can't miss those free throws. But then Walter Clayton did this:
Absurd shot, absurd play. He had the layup, he had the easy shot, didn't matter. Buckets. It wasn't just Clayton, Thomas Haugh saved them. He had everything going and kept them in it while Texas Tech pushed the lead to 10. Then you had Clayton do his thing. But really this is a mix of Texas Tech choking while Florida hung around and delivered the dagger. I still can't believe Williams missed that three late though. He was wide open and it was a perfect play call.
Look, all that matters is winning. That's what Florida did. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't anything else besides finding a way to win. Nothing from Richard, Clayton got going late, still won. First team in the Final Four.
