"You Or Your Wife Are Going To Die. One Of You Are Going To Die" - 89 Year Old Gary Player With Some Incredible Life Perspective At The Masters

Little bit of a wholesome post here, but man there might not be anyone living life better at 89 years old than Gary Player. Watch the quick clip below and absorb some of the best perspective you'll hear today, even if it took a hard left turn to get there.
Gary lost his long-time wife Vivienne to pancreatic cancer in 2021. They shared six children, 22 grandchildren, and 2 great-grand children together. Once he quickly discarded the fast food portion of the question he talked about moving on from a dead spouse and continuing to live life to the fullest. Most people I feel like at his age lose their significant other and fold up shop. My grandpa at that age was walking out of our house in Jersey and trying to catch a train out of Poland in his mind. Dude's mind was completely scrambled without his wife being there anymore. Not Gary. He's got a younger girlfriend now, still enjoys watching/playing golf, and has his sights set on living to 100. That's how he's still able to get out of bed and hit shots like this with his eyes closed.
Not sure what the Indian doctor told him, but I imagine he had to do with not touching carbs, fast food, or any sort of alcohol. Does all that sound exhausting to me? Without a doubt. I'm 31 and would be stunned if I double that if I'm being honest. Tripling it seems genuinely impossible. Not sure I'll ever be disciplined enough to eat as well as he does and avoid the junk food. That's my choice though as Gary refers to. My mindset is more or less get in and out, have a decent time doing so, and try not to ruin too many other people's lives in the process. So while I admire the hell out of Gary Player's fight and will to not just live, but live a great life at his age, I've got no plans to match him.
Incredible that all of this came from a reporter simply asking him when was the last time he had fast food. A few minutes later he's reminding everyone in attendance that they're all going to die.

That's the good stuff. Old people rock. But wait a sec, only one of us are going to die?
