'Piss Poor' - Patrick Reed Doesn't Give A Shit That He Shot -1, Can Only Think About How He Should Have Broke His Putter On The Course

I know Patrick Reed is, well, not the most liked person out there. But this? This is at least somewhat relatable. Any person who golfs on a regular basis knows this feeling. You can put together 2 outta 3 whether it's the driver spraying all around, chunking irons or missing putts, you're guaranteed to do one during a round. The rare chance all 3 are cooking? Enjoy it. It's not going to keep on happening.

But I do love Reed openly talking about breaking his putter. This is why we should have media and why players need to meet with media. Not naming names, but, this can't happen:

Just talk to the media. It's round 1. The whole war between golfers and media is getting out of control. No one is saying you need to sit here and constantly tell us shot for shot, but you gotta say something at some point. But back to Reed. He had a decent round, he shot -1. But the putter failed him. He lost roughly a half shot to the field with the putter.

I think you'll see the firm greens again today. It rained overnight in Augusta, a little bit of moisture they keep saying and it will dry out and firm up as the round goes on. Wouldn't be surprised to see the early guys have a little bit of advantage. I say that just because Reed was talking about leaving every putt short. If it firms up, he's gonna be hammering them past the hole. Only way he can go now is Major League style for his putter

Again, the most cliche thing you hear out there is 'you can't win the Tournament on Thursday, but you can lose it.' Reed should be happy sitting at -1. You gotta assume Rose falls back at some point here from -7. I get it though. Reed probably should be sitting around -3 or so, at least in his mind. Snapping a putter would be impressive on the course, though. Gotta admit, this is now what I'm cheering for.
