Say His Name: Joe Hendry Stole The Show At WrestleMania When He Got RKO'd While Posing, Promptly Tweets About How Awesome It Was
I can't talk about the main event because of how goddamn stupid it was and the fact Travis Scott is somehow the most important part of that story now? Whatever, just an awful ending. So I'm choosing to talk about the guy who stole the show. I can't say he entirely stole the show, because, you know, Liv Morgan showed up.
Back to Hendry, gotta focus here. Orton was supposed to wrestle Kevin Owens, but a neck injury forced Owens out and they had to adapt and give Orton a match. So he issues an open challenge and they get Hendry in here. Guy is awesome. TNA champ, became a viral sensation because of his song and memes. The entire place popped last night when his music hit. Then it happened. A perfect RKO out of nowhere:
Perfectly played. The RKO is still a top finish in the history of wrestling. Just something perfect about it, especially when it comes out of nowhere like this. Gotta hand it to the camera guy for the zoom in right as it happens, it was the perfect match to break up everything on Sunday. Plus we got to see Randy Orton just do whatever he wants and have fun with it
Some people were upset about Hendry being used as a jobber or how it played out. You think he cares?
Dude got to show up to WrestleMania, wrestle Randy Orton and got hit with a couple RKO's. Not too shabby, especially for a guy who was wrestling in front of nobody a few years ago. Man became a star and delivered one of the actual memorable moments from this WrestleMania. Hit the music
