This Might Be The Smoothest Home Run Theft You'll Ever See

Tonight Aaron Judge launched his 12th homer of the season. He's now hitting .412 with 34 RBI and has been on base in 32 consecutive games. Light work. He's a beast, but that's not the story here. No, what we're focusing on is who snagged this home run ball. The fella in the green made the initial catch and was immediately mobbed by his boys in celebration. Awesome moment.

In the midst of their euphoria the ball comically squeaks out of the glove and rolls down the right field wall. No one notices a thing except for this dude in the Yankee hat who can't believe what fortune has just been bestowed upon him.

Without a second's hesitation he pockets this sucker. What ball? No idea what you're talking about.

The dude in the green quickly realizes he doesn't have the ball. His pal on the left even has his phone out to film the whole thing and go nuts, not picking up what disaster has just occurred. No baseball.

Little do they know this fella next to them just pulled off one of the best home run heists I've ever seen. Gary Matthews Jr? Jim Edmonds? Endy Chavez? They don't hold a candle to that thievery. Absolutely love this guy behind him who saw the whole thing happen and appreciated this guy's slyness.

That all begs the question, should that guy keep the ball or give it back? If they were kids or women you're obviously handing that back over immediately unless you're legit satan, but this is sort of a grey area situation. I guess it's the right thing to do to give it back, but that's a Judge home run ball! Well, he ended up returning it.

If you're into good juju the move is absolutely to surrender the ball. I mean it was all captured on live TV so you're kinda a massive dick if you don't. The Yankees responded with this half inning as his reward. Hopefully he had the over.

Guess there's still some kindness left in the world. Well done. Still has the hilarious clip of being sneaky that he can show all his friends. And a Yankees W to put the bow on it.
