I Am Being Shamed For Using An Electric Lawn Mower

I said earlier this weekend when someone asked, "When you going to D'Jais?", that I would be lucky to even cut the grass by Monday.

This is MDW as a 37 year old. Washed up, minimal fun, responsible, and trying to get things done around the house. You can't play the game forever kids. Right now it's all fun and games and careless effort to try and go 5 for 5 (IFKYK) on a Holiday Weekend. You have your best outfits packed, some dough in your pocket, minimal job responsibilities, and a shore house every weekend. Life is good. Before you know it you'll wake up on a Sunday morning wondering if today is the day you can organize your closet or clean out the garage. Enjoy the game while you still got game to play, that's my advice. Drink up, and act a fool. Maximize the fun. 

Anyway, my big goal yesterday was mow the grass. The warm weather has been going for a little bit now, and with some travel and procrastination I kept pushing it off. Yesterday I finally got to tackle my task. I fired up the mower and took care of the back and front yards. We're in a content business so I threw up a video on The Tok and The Gram. (Clearly the algo hated the TikTok because the views were nonexistent ... I'll never understand how you can have a good following on there and get good views for a consistent basis then one tiktok just bombs). I finished my task, was proud of myself. Had a nice cold Lucky One Lemonade which is conveniently available in so many places, fired back up my phone and thought I committed a war crime or traded nuclear secrets. 

I had to issue a quick statement, and they STILL came for my neck.

Listen, you can only fight so many battles. So did the grass look like shit? Sure, I'll take that one on the chin. But it's a small yard, it fucking does the job and it was a great deal on sale when I bought the house. In fact if people found out how much I paid for it and the size of the yard with how infrequently you have to use it, they would say it made sense.

So back off ! Little did I know everyone and their mother is a pro landscaper. Let me live!
