Keep Playing The Hits: Doris Burke Will Simply Not Stop Calling Shai Gilgeous-Alexander A 'Free Throw Merchant' On Air

Two different games, two different moments of Doris Burke calling SGA a free throw merchant. She's sticking to the bit, no matter how much people scream about it. Two things can be true, refs suck at calling fouls and watching a free throw shooting contest sucks, but it's far from a one person or one sport or one team problem. 

Then you had Richard Jefferson defending SGA on air, which is fine. This was a weird play to bring up the free throw merchant reputation considering it's a shitty call by the ref and not SGA doing anything besides shooting. He's not yanking his head back or anything dumb like that. We've also lost the whole argument about free throw merchant and what it really is. People just scream it now like all the other terms that get overplayed. Then again, it's probably better to stick to free throw merchant talk than some World War II talk

Never mind, I changed my mind. I'm always down for some World War II talk and Doris had this one ready to go. Hilarious to drop that when talking about Hartenstein and Rudy Gobert, that's when you really have to use it. All I know is we're going to get a whole lot of free throw merchant talk, I'm fine with Doris saying it this way. Spare me the whole 'professionalism' argument or being impartial, if you think SGA is a free throw merchant keep talking about it. Then let Richard Jefferson defend it, it's at least entertaining that way while Mike Breen wants to scream bang.
