The First Trailer For 'Alien: Earth' Is AWESOME
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat.
Now THIS is how you do a trailer. Only give out a few plot points, quick looks at the aesthetic of the show and a great soundtrack. As a big fan of the Alien franchise, this is thrilling. Even though the lows of the franchise are LOW, the highs are unreal and the lore is cool as hell. Speaking of the lore, Ridley Scott just sounded off on the franchise.
I've been loving how blunt Scott has gotten over the last 10ish years of press tours.
On the backend, one of the most exciting things about this series is that Noah Hawley is the showrunner. If you're not familiar, he made both 'Fargo' and 'Legion' for FX, both of which are amazing. 'Fargo' is obviously a little more grounded but 'Legion' did some incredible scifi work. The best part? Both series did a great job weaving interesting stories that kept you guessing and had really good dialogue. So adding a great writer to the world of Alien SHOULD be a home run.
