The Rarest Of Birds: Patrick Reed Gets The 4th Albatross In US Open History, Hits The Jordan Shrug Trying To Figure Out What The Hell Happened

I guess the afternoon wave isn't having a problem with Oakmont. Then again we're seeing guys hit ridiculous shot after ridiculous, none more than this. It's the 4th albatross in US Open history. That's it, that's the rarest of birds. It's also why Reed goes MJ/John Michael Wozniak with the shrug

He had no idea what the hell happened. Don't blame him, you don't ever expect to get an albatross. Not to mention, look at that roll. That ball couldn't have hit a more perfect spot. It also brings up the debate that you get every once in a while - would you rather have a hole-in-one or albatross? The answer is always the ace, you get the flag for that and can bring it up whenever. I understand the double eagle being rarer, but you want the ace.

Need to know what the boom guy said back to him. He just starts laughing and clearly Reed asks if it went in. Boom guy never expected to be in that spot, but you gotta rise to the occasion when it calls on you. This is how you get a round going though. You gotta put up a decent number if you get the 4th albatross in US Open history.
