"OH JEEZ!" – This Paraglider Flying Directly Into Some Power Lines Made Me Laugh Out Loud

Ha. I liked that one. That one was good. Actually got a legitimate out-loud laugh out of me. Followed by a brief moment of worry as I quickly scanned the tweet to make sure I didn't just LOL as I watched a man die. But nope. This unsuspecting paraglider who flew directly into some power lines is A-OK. 

Paragliding looks like it would be an absolute blast. But at the same time, they look so damn goofy in their cute little flying machines. Like Dick Dastardly chasing after a pigeon. This video may very well be a scene directly out of the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon, Dastardly & Muttley. Those two were almost certainly thwarted by some electrical wires somewhere along the line. 

Great instincts by camera guy to pull out his phone and start filming. He didn't even see the power lines. It was all so wholesome. Just to see a paraglider up close in person was probably the highlight of his week. "How neat. This paraglider is about to cruise right over my head. Wait until my friends get a load of– OHHHH OH NO!! OH JEEZ!!!"

Excellent commentary. Such a genuine reaction. There's just something about a slow-motion crash. Especially one that looks so obviously avoidable in hindsight. It's slow-motion crashes, and pictures of cars through drove through the side of a house (as loNg as eVeryOne is oK) that always hit the hardest for me. 

It's just so phenomenally inexcusable. It's such a catastrophic amount of damage. It's so beyond obnoxious that I can't help but laugh at it. 

I apologize for the low effort blog. But if a video makes me laugh out loud, I'm inclined to share it. Be careful out there paragliders. Rivers don't come with traffic signs for you folks. It's up to you to keep your eyes peeled for things that may electrocute you in mid-air. As hilarious as that crash is in hindsight, not all paragliders would be lucky enough to come out unscathed.
