BANG: John Parry Gave Us Our First Ace At The Open, Nearly Couldn't Believe His Own Perfect Shot

I love the delayed celebration here because you can almost see his brain working in real time. For a second he had to realize he actually hit the perfect shot on 13 and got the bounce. Really, I can't believe the pin didn't send that ball flying, they talked about it on TV and how the pins are firmer than normal so you hit that and you risk the shot of it firing anywhere. Instead he gets the first ace of this year's Open. 

I don't care what course you're on at The Open, it's gotta be the 2nd best tournament to get one in. The first is easily The Masters, then you can go hole-by-hole and it falls a bit behind 17 at Sawgrass and stuff, but this is the stuff of dreams, especially for a guy from England. This really is the perfect shot too. You get to see the bounce, the anticipation of the roll where everyone holds their breath and then the celebration. Only way to celebrate is then go to Harbour Bar

That said, the weather is too good for my liking. Give me the wind and rain, not any of this fair condition bullshit at The Open.
