Klay Thompson's Legendary Run Continues With Him Throwing One Of The Best First Pitches That You'll Ever See

There are hot streaks, and then there's whatever the hell is currently going on with Klay Thompson. I'm not going to go as far to say he's on a generational run, but when you're hot, you're hot and this dude is currently on one of the best runs we've seen an athlete have.
It started with the news that he was dating Megan Thee Stallion
Then the internet was blessed with an impressive video of Klay making 70+ 3PA in a row, which made all the sense in the world for a guy currently experiencing an all-time hot streak
I'll never care that these are practice shots against no defense. Watching the best shooters to ever walk this earth rip off 70+ 3PA will always get my attention. Same thing as when we see Steph do shit like this. It's a nice reminder of just how insane these players are.
If all that wasn't enough, you can also add Klay having one of the best athlete first pitches I've ever seen
Given what a disaster 99% of athletes' first pitches end up being, I'm not sure this one could have gone any better, and it just reinforces what a legendary run Klay Thompson is currently on. From the helmet (shoutout John Olerud) to the pitch to the location, was that a slider? I'm not a baseball guy, so don't kill me if that's wrong, because either way it's impressive as hell.
In some ways, perhaps this should have been expected from Klay, given that his brother played 8 years in the majors, so clearly baseball was a big part of their family. However, that doesn't make it any less impressive. You still have to step on the mound and perform in front a full stadium. Generally, with these first pitches, as long as you're somewhat in the vicinity of the catcher's mitt it's a win, and really, you just have to avoid bouncing it or doing something that makes you go viral for all the wrong reasons. I'd say Klay aced both all of those challenges.
The next question is can this legendary run carry over into the NBA season? With Kyrie Irving out for a while due to his ACL, the Mavs are going to need Klay to be the best version of himself if they want to compete in a brutal Western Conference. His first year as a Mav wasn't all that bad, he shot 39% from deep on 7.7 3PA which is what they brought him in for, and he played 72 games which is a great number for him at his age, given his injury history.
If you were maybe skeptical about Klay and the Mavs heading into this season, I think Klay's current run deserves to be factored in. For all we know, this changes everything. What if the Mavs now somehow get Prime Klay Thompson? Not just as a shooter, but also as a defender? Normally I'd say there's no way that'd be possible at this stage of his career, but after this run we're currently seeing Klay have, I'm not sure what to think anymore.
