Last Week In NFL Training Camp Confirmation Bias Nuggets

NFL training camp is such a magical time on the sports calendar. It's a brand new NFL season. The butterflies get going a little bit in the stomach as you think about only the best possible case for your team. We all know these training camp stories mean little if anything at all. But we don't care. Every drip of confirmation bias fuels us a few hours until kickoff.
So let's take a quick tour around camp this past week to see what's going on. Whatever the story or clip, I'm here to gas it up as a positive. August is about dreams.
Speaking of which… if you're going to have any dreams, you'll need to make sure no one's flushing a loud toilet while you sleep.
It's great to see Rodgers and DK building chemistry together. Even if using a porcelain beaker. But there's no better sign of friendship than texting your buddy in the other room to coyly tell him you're taking a shit. I can't wait until we hear Aaron call "Flush" or "Deuce" at the line of scrimmage for a DK bomb.
Meanwhile in Tennessee, the overall #1 pick of the draft has a mindset I actually like a lot.
There's nothing more annoying than a professional athlete telling us how great everything is with every cliche known to man. My man Cam is just giving it straight. Shocking that the worst team in the league on their first week of camp in full pads wasn't looking Super Bowl ready. Nice little message to the rest of the team to step it up. And on the subject of Cam Ward - I kind of think he's being overlooked here. He's throwing some darts in camp. The Titans are still going to be bad because they're a trash organization. But Cam should be a fun watch.
I mean - firing Mike Vrabel was incompetence enough. But letting go of Treylon Burks put the final nail in the coffin on this horrendous trade.
Alright let's head out to Indy. The great quarterback competition of our time is waging.
I honestly don't know who's going to win this one. You have Anthony Richardson who's on track to have the worst completion percentage in the history of the NFL and who get's tired sometimes and needs a break during games. And then you have Daniel Jones. A true coin flip.
Then again there's talk of Richardson finally being able to put it together as proven by this single clip.
Things are a lot rosier for my Chicago Bears. With a revamped offensive line, and Ben Johnson in place for maybe the worst coach in NFL history, Caleb Williams is going to be surgical this season. The only problem he has right now is his net not running the right routes.
This video was originally taken down by the guy that first posted it before it made the rounds. Classy move. The net had a bad day and shouldn't be ridiculed for it.
Let's head down to Atlanta where Michael Penix gets his shot in leading a solid group of offensive weapons including Drake London, Bijan Robinson, Darnell Mooney, and …. can it be??? Kyle Pitts?
Chalk this up for believe it when we see it. Even then we might have to consider it was AI. But there's definitely a case to be made at least that the awful quarterbacking situation Kyle Pitts has endured played a role in his … well… being very bad. Might be worth a dart throw in fantasy.
On to our Nation's capital. Things are no longer rainbows and butterflies for an organization and fanbase that recently felt the euphoria of getting out of jail and having everything turn out for them.
Don't worry though guys. Jaylin Lane is here.
And the corpse of Michael Gallup. You got this.
I don't know what's going to come of McLaurin. Usually when these things happen, they end up staying as the team has the leverage. But I think the Commanders are taking a step back this year. Which isn't much of a take seeing as how much they overachieved in 2024. Remember when they were the preseason pits of the league along with New England and New York (take your pick)?
New York Giants fans might be a little trepidacious about the season. They're just hoping for once their team can be taken seriously. Let's see what they've got.
Meanwhile in Dallas, I kind of think we're sleeping on a huge offensive season from the boys. Pickens sounds like he's killing it out there.
If Micah Parsons is traded, that's going to be trouble and lead to even more offense. Haven't heard of any trade destinations yet but much like McLaurin, I'm sure Parsons is reading all your tweets to decide where to go.
Also just a tip of the cap to Bills fans.
Just the best fan base in the NFL. No team has fan energy that's makes me wish I was a real fan like Buffalo. I would be really jealous if they didn't lose four straight Super Bowls and get jobbed by the refs in the Playoffs. Yeah and the :13 thing.
That's a wrap for last week. I'll keep on the pulse here for any future pertinent clips that will definitely prove your team is winning the Super Bowl this year. Have something for you next Monday.
Stay excited y'all. Football is coming.
