It Just Means More: Pro E-Sports Player Looks Like He Took On The Suffering Of A Thousand Souls After Losing Semifinal Match

At the end of the day, all fans really want to see out of professional athletes is that they care as much as we do. There's nothing worse than having so much of your emotional well-being attached to a professional sports team or athlete, and then seeing them smile and carry on like nothing even happened when they fail. You know you're going to be completely worked up over a loss for hours or days on end, and they are just giggling like it's a joke to them. Like imagine being Frank Fleming and then watching Francisco Lindor play grab ass with the catcher after striking out.

Fans just want athletes to care. Maybe you don't have to care to the extent of the most unhinged fans, but at least make it seem like this means something to you.

Which brings us to professional gamer KojiKOG. You think this guy cares? You think this means something to him? Let's watch it again, this time in fast-mo.

The only way anyone has ever felt the same level of grief and agony as KojiKOG is experiencing here is if you had to watch 5 members of your immediate family all get murdered right in front of you. Other than that, you've never felt suffering quite like KojiKOG felt here after losing a semifinal match of Fatal Fury.

Which is crazy because I didn't even know that Fatal Fury is a thing that exists. It looks like it's just another version of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat or Tekken. It's just wild to think that somebody is having the absolute worst day in the history of the world, all over something you had absolutely no idea about just 7 minutes ago. Sure, maybe you just lost your job and found out your girlfriend has been sleeping with your best friend. Sure, maybe your car got broken into and your rent check bounced. You could be having the worst day of your life, and it still wouldn't even register to this fella's level of anguish. That's an athlete who cares.
