The Beautiful Game: We Got A Good Old Fashioned Soccer Fight Featuring Slaps And A Guy Accidentally Hitting A Teammate In The Head With A Punch

Tough look here for Pablo Fornals. You can't be the guy starting a brawl by slapping someone in the face. I know, I know. It's a soccer guy move. But you can't start the brawl with a slap because you have to be aware of someone throwing a real punch. 50/50 shot in the soccer world you get an actual punch thrown, in this case it at least looked like one. There was a windup and not just the smushing of the face or quick slap that we're used to seeing. That's how you need to respond to a slap in the face.

You know what? Now that I think about it, hitting another man with an open hand slap is pretty fucking mean. It's taunting them saying you don't need a full punch or not worthy of a real fight, so here's a slap that kids do. That said, don't sleep on the fact Cucho Hernandez comes in to swing wildly and accidentally catch his teammate with a punch right at about the 9 second mark. Love the intensity to come in like Roman Reigns with the Superman punch, but head on a swivel pal. Can't be missing guy to clock your own teammate.

Just goes to show you that you never know what can happen when Como/Betis play in a friendly. Don't tell them it doesn't matter or count for anything. We have actual punches, which is a huge accomplishment to most soccer fights we see. I love the sport, but I can admit the fights are usually slaps and a few kicks. I understand the kicks, use your best weapon, but the slaps? Come on. We can't still be slapping guys and think it looks fine.

PS: Respect the ref for just slowly stepping back and letting this all happen. Man had no desire to break it up and did the Homer Simpson slow walk into the bushes.
