Gotta Wait A Year To Tank Now - Archie Manning Claims Arch Won't Declare For The NFL Draft, Staying At Texas For Two More Seasons

I know we don't truly 'know' if Arch is this elite quarterback, but I'll blindly trust the fact his uncle won 2 Super Bowl MVP's and is a soon to be Hall of Famer. But, for all offseason so far we heard about how NFL teams will tank for Arch and the Saints quarterback room makes you think they are trying to set up another Arch Manning run there. However, not so fast.

This isn't shocking, I guess? It's not like anyone in the Manning family came out and said Arch would leave after this year. Unless he wins the Heisman, looks the part of a No. 1 pick and all that I don't think it's crazy to think he'll come back to Texas. This isn't the old days where you have to leave to get paid outside of an insurance plan and some under the table money. Arch Manning is going to make a shit ton of NIL money for however long he's in college football, no matter how great he is this season or not.

One thing I do know is Archie Manning knows how to get his family to the right situation. The most genius move he ever had was not letting Eli play for the Chargers and brought him to a Super Bowl champion organization. No doubt in my mind he has this all mapped out for his grandson and won't be afraid to pull strings if he has to. I also think he knows what he's doing. He's smart in saying Arch isn't going to necessarily declare after this season. Lower some expectations, see if people who do mocks and national media listen, don't put him there and then adjust after the season ends.

The hype for sure ain't going anywhere though. You get the last name Manning, you play at Texas, you're going to have all the hype in the world.
