Some Lady At The Phillies Game Just Demanded A Father And Son Give Her A Home Run Ball And Cements Herself As A True WOAT

My God! I saw this get tweeted and was truthfully mystified that something like this could happen. Just unreal. 

Let me first say this… going to a baseball game with your dad is as American as it gets. Just one of the best things you can experience in sports. The bonding, the excitement, the happiness… it’s the best. Your dad taking you to a game is fantastic, and then when you grow up and get some money in your pocket as an adult you can surprise him for a big game down the stretch of a pennant race or a playoff game etc. A true full circle moment in life. 

The only thing that makes a game with your Dad better is the way you hype yourself up that you could catch a foul ball or even a home run.  Everyone dreams about it but basically no one actually has it happen. Except this kid tonight. The 1 in a million possibility that actually comes through. His Dad goes into a crowd like a superhero and comes out with the ball. As good as it gets. And the kid gets to enjoy it for like 8 seconds before some lunatic lady demands they give it to her, and amazingly the dad actually gives it up. Now I want it on record that scrambling for a foul ball and a home run is a lawless environment. When that ball goes up and then comes down there are no rules until it’s fully secured in someone’s hands. Grabbing, chasing, running and hunting it down are all legal. This guy had a great break on the ball, great reflexes and did what he had to. And this lady thinks because she took her eye off the ball she has the right to demand the ball? Abso fucking lutely not lady. No fucking chance. Just awful behavior. She took it away from a kid for Pete’s sakes. And she’s going to what celebrate that? When people ask have you ever caught a home run she’s going to say what? Well no but yes I bullied a father and son to give it to me. Just an absolutely joke. Leave the autographs and souvenirs to the kids people. I hope Bryce Harper gets this kid on the field every game the rest of the season to make up for the trauma that just occurred, and this lady should be banned forever.
