I Want To Make Something Very Clear: This Elbow Would Kill Me
Paul Craig just got hit with an elbow from Modestas Bukauskas that would fucking kill me. Literally.
I mean did you hear the crack of that thing? I think if I was elbowed in the temple by Bukauskas with the exact same velocity, I would have a wedge in my skull that reshaped it into a Pac-Mac like figure, and then I would bleed out and die within moments. Sorry to be graphic, but that's just a fact.
I don't even know how Paul Craig got up after that, let alone go on to make a short-but-eloquent retirement speech....
Many are pointing out already that it's a bit ironic that Paul Craig was retired with a buzzer beater knockout considering he was practically known for crazy outta nowhere finishes of his own, and that's probably what I'll remember most about the great career Craig had. He beat Shogun, Jamahal Hill, had that insane buzzer beater submission against Magomed Ankalaev - you could never give him an inch, cause he'd take a mile your arm off.
Unfortunate that he had to go out on a vicious knockout loss, but that's professional mixed martial arts for ya. What a terrifying sport.
P.S. Benoit Saint-Denis just made Mauricio Ruffy tap out (in the co-main event) for the eleventh finish on the card, tying the modern record. Main event could break that up next. Pretty awesome stuff.
