But when I see multiple reports of this move I have no choice but to respect it. It’s the Border War, it’s a rivalry. You don’t take the $25,000 and pass up the opportunity to put a scare into Kansas. You gotta do whatever it takes for your team to win. Plus, he probably knew he had no chance to make a 45-yard field goal. If he had a chance to make a 45 yarder, he would do it. Instead you become a legend and inspire the team. 

This is where you have to love college football. You’re not getting this in the NFL. They have Mr. beast and a plant Chargers fan. We have a Mizzou fan booting balls at rivalries. That’s the sort of guy you want in your fanbase. You want a guy willing to take the potential boot out of the stadium. Border War is back.
